We are Bev and Michael and we run a new independent private support agency based in Berkeley, Gloucestershire, but cover areas as far as Weston-Super-Mare. B & M Berkeley Care is owned and managed by two support workers with 12 years first-hand experience working with and supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health and are enhanced DBS checked and fully compliant with CQC training requirements.
Meet the Team
Michael and I are a compassionate couple who hate to see anything or anyone suffer. If we can bring a bit of sunshine into someone’s life by making it a little easier, then we’re there! Michael and I were brought together by the sad loss of our long term partners. We were both from the farming community and it was the love of our animals that brought out our caring natures and helped us bond too. Michael left his job in a veterinary practice and got a job with me in the priory hospital. When he witnessed a favourite patient die suddenly, it made him realise he wanted to help others outside the hospital and left to work for himself. Michael has carried out personal care, washing, dressing, support feeding, and helping patients drink. He’s accompanied them on days out, shopping, to the cinema, gardening, visits to the GP and dentist.
